Jan 2013

It's bee an embarrassingly long time since I updated Max's blog. We moved house at the end of last year and since then I've taken a lot of photos but not got around to putting them on the computer till now! Our new house is just wonderful and Max loves being here, as do the cats and us grown-ups for that matter! We are a bit further from family and friends but not so far as to not still be friendly and miss out on the social gatherings :)

Max has been storming through his new challenges at his new nursery and with his homeschooling and Callum and I are SO proud of him and his progress. He is still a happy, loving, funny boy and thank God - still very healthy. Hooray!

Over these next few blogs you'll see a lot of Max's drawing and writing skills which we've been working particularly hard at to go alongside his reading so that hopefully one day soon he will be able to communicate with written language alongside his speech, which is still a struggle for him. On that front though, he has continued to get better with talking and using his PECs and is more confident to use them with unfamiliar adults now.

At Max's new nursery he has a wonderful new teaching assistant (TA) who he really loves and works very well with.

A new development for us is that we have decided to add a new member to the family - a finnish lapphund puppy! :) Please look up this breed if you are unfamiliar - they are incredible! We are on a waiting list for a puppy hopefully this Autumn or Winter depending on when the pair mate successfully. More updates to follow on that note!

Some of the many new PECs I've made for Max over the last few months. We're not quite at telling time yet but I want him to be familiar with how these look before we use them for real.

September-November 2012

It's taken me a long time to update this as we've been a bit busy with planning for our house move which is happening next week! We are very excited about it but there has been a lot to do of course so blogging has been put on the back burner. I happen to have a freer evening tonight though so here we are, and this month has been very important, not only for us finalising our house move, but because our marvellous Maximus turned 4! Check him out!
These are a few from back in September, when Callum found out about his new job (the reason for us moving house) and show a happy Max - as usual! :)

A huge bowl of strawberries, from when the weather was warm - somehow seems longer ago than September!

This beauty is one of my goddaughters, her name is Analena - such a gorgeous girl

Max wasn't sure what to do with her to be honest, but he liked her well enough...

...see?

Some lovely, fun chasing with the hunky Daddy

tickles!

A stupidly wide grin from me, but I am completely in love with my son so I'm allowed :)

Handsomest boy

Doing some amazing climbing!

We are going to take Max rock climbing with us soon to see how he gets on - I've a feeling he's going to ROCK! <--- :=":" did="did" i="i" p="p" see="see" there="there" what="what">
On this day Max was pretty tired so he dragged down all his bedding to snuggle up on the sofa - cute!

Max is finally tall enough to be able to reach across to do the rope bridge without help! He was VERY chuffed!

When he slipped a foot we giggled about it so Max started falling off on purpose to make us laugh! What a wicked sense of humour

Climbing trees at Ambarrow Woods

This was at the end of a particularly wonderful, happy day. Max just sitting in his bath playing with the bubble bath bottles and laughing his little head off - just delightful! I think he was laughing at the bottles popping up from under the water, but it doesn't really matter why does it?

Here's his enormous birthday cake I made in a chequered flag pattern, it had to be huge to feed all the gaping little (and big!) mouths at his birthday party. I thought there might be enough left to take home for his 2nd party with school friends the day after, but no... Hehehe :)

Max being helped with blowing out the candles by Harry and Raphael (and Mummy)

Max with his best friend at school, Teddie - they are really going to miss each other when we move :(

Another beautiful walk on a crisp, sunning Autumn day at the woods

I know he looks serious here but I still love it. So sweet
