February - Twycross Zoo & Monkey Mates

As it always does, February has gone very quickly this year! Callum is at home still so Maximus has been having the time of his life playing with his Daddy every day!
We bought this little football goal with blow-up football about 6 months ago and we've just begun to play with it. So far, throwing the ball is favoured above kicking, but when he does choose to kick, he's pretty good - very straight and neat. :)

... more fun to have Daddy kick it for him though!

Max has been belly laughing a LOT!

Playing quietly with his bead puzzle (a Christmas present from Sally, Alec and Jack - thank you!)
Blowing bubbles outside Sally and Alec's with the bubble sword!

Jack having a go!

Snuggle time with Daddy

Snuggle time with Ninja! They are firm friends now. :)

At the zoo looking at the monkeys - this was the Langur enclosure.

Max's first trip to Monkey Mates was a definate success! We had a blast playing with the cousins. Max loved the ball pits and going down the slide with the girls. Thank you girls (and Cara!) for taking it in turns to watch our boys - Sally and I are very grateful! Monkey Mates is an amazing place, a massive climbing frame with slides and ramps and pits and a flood of children! It is very loud, but very fun. True to form, Cara was calm as you like and took Max to play in the toddler area right away, and soon enough my shell-shock faded and I was able to join in too!

This is a typical shot of how we end the day in our house before Max's bedtime. Max absolutely ADORES music and in particular, music on TV, so one of our latest favourite TV shows, 'Glee' is perfect for him. We let him watch 2 or 3 songs to wind him down for sleep. He either sits on the sofa next to one of us or (more often) snuggles into Daddy's shoulder perched on the arm of the chair. VERY cute. :) He is super affectionate and cuddly at the moment, and we just love it.

2010 & snow!

Here are the latest pics of Max from the last month or so. He is now about 25lbs in weight and is 78cm tall.

Here are some of the words he can say (if not perfectly yet, then at least recognisable by us and those who see him often enough to understand his gibberish a bit!)
-Yes (Ye)
-No
-Mum
-Dad
-Peej (Eej)
-Jack (JackJack)
-Car
-Cat (Tat)
-Dog (Gog)
-Cuddle (Tudduh or Cudduh)
-Snake (Sake)
-Look (Ook)
-Pat
-Duck
-Mickey (Mick)
-Water (Waer - no 'T')

These are icicles dripping off our pipes - even though it's not a Max photo, thought I'd add it here along with my snow smiley!

"Hulk smash!!"

Cuddles with Aunty M!

We are so blissfully happy in our house at the moment as we have Daddy home EVERY DAY and he can wake up with Max and come with us on our walks!

If we walk to the park around 3-3:30 in the afternoon, many of the neighbours walk their dogs, so Max gets to watch (and sometimes pet) them. He loves dogs!

... but not as much as he loves his Daddy

We visited my friend Vas during the week and had a good time running about his house and playing with an insane robot dog thing, which they insisted we take home with us! (We've not forgiven you for that thing Vasilie!!)

Max's godmother, Pippa, visited us at the weekend and they had a very nice time cuddling up together listening to music on the TV

Katie is Max's minder whenever she is with him - such a lovely girl

Uncle Steve and Pete came to visit at the weekend and we went for a little walk. Max wanted to be carried a lot as he was tired - tough life eh?
