11 weeks & catching up with family

This week Max and I have been visiting some family - as we often do - and there are a few piccies here of that as well as a couple of rare shots of me with Max and more photos showing his ever-changing face.

Sally and Jack were with us at Grannie & Grandad's and Jack still seems very fond of Maximus which is lovely to see. Max had a lovely time sitting on Grannie's, Sally's and Grandad's knees and was smiling away for most of the afternoon/evening. Jack freely gives kisses and cuddles to Max who he calls either 'Ma' or more commonly 'baby'. Awww!

The Scrubs night this week was at the Smith's and a very cheery Max had lovely cuddles with Noo Noo (Una), Mel and Emma.

Maximus is looking more grown up every day and is still expanding his repetoire of sounds, making an 'um' sound today for the first time, although his most common noise is 'oooh' at the moment. We are in the process of encouraging him to roll over and to sit up unaided and he is doing well, especially at the sitting.
He is also still very fond of sleeping... :)

10 weeks

Maximus had his first set of immunisations this week and was (as expected) as good as gold. He is still a very happy and healthy baby and continues to expand on his 'vocabulary' of sounds. He has also begun to cut his first tooth!
I'm going to try to attach a movie clip here (with Top Gear in the background I think...) as well as a rather beautiful shot of Callum with Max and some pics of him generally looking handsome.

8 - 9 weeks old

Max is now 9 weeks old, weighs over 10lbs and is getting stronger and longer every day. He is developing a very sweet personality as well and we are very impressed with how well he's holding himself sitting and standing. Many of you will probably notice before long that he has a lot of my expressions, the second shot of him on the red pillow is a prime example!

I introduced Max to his first toy last week; a kangaroo which was a present from Ann Iles when she went to Australia (Thanks Ann!) I have copied Winnie the Pooh and called her Kanga and Max seems to like her!
We also have a shot here of Max sporting the green knitted 'Acorn' hat which Caz made for her son George when he was a baby (thanks Caz!).

7 weeks old & New Year

On December 28th Maximus met Pauline, Donna, Helen, Gordon and little Archie. We had a lovely afternoon; Max was very well behaved and everyone got to have a cuddle.

Max saw in the New Year at Smart and Cara's this year and enjoyed playing with Uncle Peej very much - the 2nd picture here shows how he can stand on his own for a couple of seconds, and the 3rd is Max wearing his Scorpio babygrow from Uncle Peej and Aunty Mel.

We also got a visit from Philippa at the end of December and Max had a very fun time with her learning to 'Can Can' kick on the floor. Thanks again for the Pipkin bunny Phil! :)

This one shows Max sporting his monster jumper given by Vasilis - we think he'd give the monster a run for it's money!

Maximus now fits into his grey bear snowsuit which is amazingly soft and lovely and he can now sit propped up on chairs and sofas. He has also created an utterly gorgeous little game which I have called 'Where's Your Tongue' because that's what we say to him when we play it. Basically he sticks his tongue out and we have to try to poke it before he puts it back in - it makes him smile and almost laugh - he loves it and initiates playing it a lot of the time now.
