First swing and days in the sun

Last week Max and I visited Grannie and Grandad and had a lovely afternoon in the sunshine. As usual, Max was very happy to be with them and enjoyed a sweet little nap on Grandad in the shade.

The next day, we went to Sally and Alec's and walked to the park (which Jack can now say beautifully!) where Maximus enjoyed his very first swing! He was right at home in it because it's very similar in design to his high chair.
:Note Sally's lovely new hair do! :)

It was Godmother Pip's birthday at the weekend and Max and I were invited over for a BBQ. Max met some gorgeous new people and was a joy as usual. :)

Lovely chunky leggies!

This sheep (a present from his cousins Lucy, Katie and Hannah) is one of his favourites and as you can see from the video coming up, he tries to copy the noise it makes when you press the little button. Cute!

The TShirt says "Born To Win", which I think he would if the game was sleeping lions!

24 weeks

Max is 24 weeks old now and weighs 15 lbs 4 oz (nearly as much as Ninja!). We have bought him a marvellous new high chair which he really loves sitting in to play and it great for us to feed him in.
Damson is doing a safety check! "Seems good!"

Feeding Max with my beloved 'Dog Whisperer' programme in the background. We like watching the dogs.

I love it when he holds his milk like this - reminds me of an otter with a clam

As anyone who's been on a walk with Max on a sunny day will tell you, Max does not like having the sun in his eyes (like his Mummy) so we bought him these Baby Banz from Bumpto3.com. They're fab!
This is a video of Max singing away with his keyboard (a gift from Nanna and Grandpa - thank you!)

Ninja also likes the new high chair!

Uncle Jimbo came over to pick up the Guitar Hero kit (thank heavens!) and stayed for dinner and for a cuddle with Max. They both enjoyed it. :)

New things!

Max will be 5 months old this Thursday and we are amazed at how quickly the time has gone!

Grannie and Grandad have been at our house doing up our garden for us (HUGE THANK YOU GUYS!) and it looks marvellous. Grandad took the chance while he here to have a snuggle with little man who really loves his Grandad, often following him around the room with his eyes and turning his head to find him when he speaks. Awww - friend for life Grandad!

Max kept his Daddy company while he painted the garden fence the other week.

As I mentioned in the last blog, Max has taken a real interest in food the past couple of weeks, so we've started him on a couple of small portions of baby rice and milk which he likes, and sometimes with added banana or pear which he loves! His tummy is taking very well to the new diet and he seems to enjoy eating off a spoon which is useful!

This is another of his favourite toys at the moment, I wedge it between his legs and he is kept amused for quite a while which is handy when there are chores to be done!

Callum has discovered that watching all the Rocky movies has paid off and Max is now a right little boxer! This shot below was taken just before the video of him squealing with glee with his Daddy.

We went to visit Mea and Great Gran in Kew for Easter Sunday and when we got back Max was due for his evening bottle of milk, much to our amazement, Max reached out and took the bottle from Callum's hands and began feeding himself!!

Falling asleep on Daddy is still one of the favoured methods for both Max and Callum.

A very happy boy with lots of smiles for Mummy.

Max is just at that adorable age when he's grabbing his feet at every opportunity on his back or sitting up.

20 weeks & Trampolening

Maximus is now 20 weeks old and has some new tricks up his sleeve! He can now blow bubbles, squeal very loud at a very high pitch, reach out and grab for things (mostly the phone when Daddy calls or food we're eating) and has rolled from his tummy to his back a few times!

He still loves bouncy duck!

He also loves Grannie

and playing with Daddy!

This is his teething ring which he generally grabs at rather than chews at the moment, but it may be of some relief to him soon.

Damson plays at being my second baby often after I've fed Max!

Max being babysat by his lovely cousins!

Beauty shot...

What a face!

Max especially loves it when Daddy comes home in the evenings and always has a big smile for him.

Max also loves Uncle Peej though you wouldn't know it from the glazes expression on this one...

Aunty Sally's trampolene is sure to become a firm favourite with Max who loved being gently bounced lying on his back.

Jack helped with the bouncing too!

Max has been showing such an interest in food the past couple of weeks that we've started him on little portions of powdered baby rice to go alongside his milk feeds. He really loves it and is very good at eating off the spoon already - hardly any spillage! Pics of this to follow in next blog installment.

This video below is just one of him making cute noises.
