18 weeks

Maximus is now 18 weeks old, is about 30 inches long and weighs almost a stone!
He is getting stronger holding his upper body for crawling practise...

...but still prefers walking practise - this new technique uses Daddy's legs as bannisters!

Max is helping Daddy kill the baddies!!

This top - a present from Nanna and Grandad - says "If you think I'm handsome you should see my Dad!"

Godparents & other family visits

These 3 lovely people (Peej, Mel and Phil) have happily agreed to be Max's godparents and we are hoping to get him christened in May.

We had our regular Scrubs night slot at Emma's house last week and Max had cuddles with everyone there, shown below is Peej and Jimbo with him.

Max and I also visited Grannie & Grandad and he was a delight; smiling all the time and showing Grandad how well he stands now!

I went to see Sally, Alec and Jack last week also and took this great pic of Sally looking lovely with Max.

Our little family visiting Nanna and Grandpa in Southam last week as well and he had cuddles with both of them.

And last but not least, Vas and Anne-Marie finally met Max and we had a fun evening playing with Max and eating fajitas!

Smart & Hannah's bday party & visits

Sally, Jack, Max and I went to visit Monica the other day and we had a lovely time playing with toys (some of which both Sally and I played with when we were little!). Jack was particularly fond of the old teddy bear which I thought sounded like a cow, but still very lovely. Thanks for lunch M!

The next few pics were taken at Smart and Hannah's joint birthday party. Max had a cuddle with everyone I think and was generally very chilled and happy as usual. His one little outburst was soothed by Aunty Sally who obviously still has the skills! :)

Max LOVES standing up and will often try to push himself up to standing from sitting. Below is an adorably cute pic of Jack giving Max a cuddle at one of these moments. Aww!

15 weeks - Bouncy Duck and new skills!

Max is now 15 weeks old and as the photo below shows, is now very good at grabbing hold of and sometimes even reaching out to grab his toys.

He continues to be a huge source of joy for both Callum and me and does a great job of calming Callum down and cheering him up after a rough day at work.

He is much better (and happier) being on his tummy to practise crawling

... and frequently talks to both people and his toys.

We also put Maximus in the family-famous Bouncy Duck (which all his cousins have played in) and he seems to like it a lot so far - it's more good exercise for his legs too which is great. Check out the video!

Last week I also took a (very dark but very lovely) video of Callum reading to Max which is below, under the photo. We try to have Callum read to him every night and he is currently enjoying The Fellowship Of The Ring - we're just beyond the barrow downs for those who may be interested!
