10 months: Teeth, posing & trip to Twycross Zoo

Max is now 10 months old and we have had a really lovely few days as Daddy is now home from work so no more trips to Liverpool! Hooray! Both Max and I are VERY happy to have him home and it's meant we are able to do some things as a family - like a trip to the zoo! (See far below)
Callum found this top from the Harlequins website (while Googling 'cheating scum'...) and it says 'FUTURE QUINS PLAYER'. We like :)

Oh no! A Daddy Monster!

Playing throw and catch with Daddy (Damson was a spectator only)

When he's in the mood, Max poses for the camera and this is one of the faces he pulls!

This is another...

And another...

Maximus now has 4 teeth and another is pushing through on the top left (see tongue poking poor red gums)
Jack sharing a ball at Grannie and Grandad's
On our walks, I stop to let Max see and feel the various leaves and plants along the way (obviously not spikey, prickly ones...) and he is very gentle with them and doesn't pull off any leaves...

...for the most part...

Looking through one of his sound books with Grannie

At Aunty M's Sailing Club with her daughter Kate and Kate's son Tane. What a lovely afternoon it was!

Crawling at full speed for the water! :)

Another funny posing face

STREEEEETCH!

Watching Daddy playing games is still one of Max's favourite pastimes. Look how long he's grown!

Reaching from one sofa to another - Daddy's laptop IS a stepping stone, despite what Daddy says!

Max has learned to crawl while pushing along his toy car

Awww

Much to Daddy's delight, Max also LOVES his electric guitar and likes to strum the strings while Daddy holds cords. He's a natural it seems!

This is at Twycross Zoo. We had a really lovely time and Max was so good all afternoon. It was a primate and monkey-focussed zoo which suited me but also has a lot of other kinds of animals there and Max was particularly fond of the Meerkats and Pudus so I've put those pictures up.

This is a Pudu (a minuature deer) - they were very interested in Max and kept bounding up to the glass, Max loved them (see reflection)

This little old monkey was sitting in his little house at the back and sprang over to say 'hello' when Max came along with Daddy. He was very friendly.

This is Max and Daddy watching the Meerkats. They were his favourite and didn't want to leave them! :)

This is just to prove I was at the zoo too! Here in front of the Prairie Dog enclosure.

9 months - Standing and walking practise etc...

Yet again there has been another long gaps between blogs - sorry folks! This time our internet was down, but we're back up and running now so there's a lot of new things to show!

I will update again to show more recent photos of the past week or so including Max posing for the camera!

Walking practise at Sally's

The first time using our Mei-Tai, and Max fell asleep within minutes of the walk! Brilliant! (Caroline McCurrach, Sally's friend, makes these gorgeous Mei-Tais www.mymei-tai.blogspot.com and I thoroughly recommend them to anyone who has a baby or toddler.)

Mid-crawl at high speed!

Ninja brings in butterflies from the garden daily and one day the butterfly escaped his claws and sought sanctuary on Max! It worked, as Ninja wouldn't swipe at it while it was on him. :)

Having fun with Grandad

Max first pulled himself up to standing using the stair gates, this is an example...

...then came crawling through the stair gate to reach the stairs...
...and finally crawling up the stairs, which he can now do all in one go without stopping when he wants to! Obviously I stand behind him, the photo below was the first time he did it and I happened to have the camera in my hands to catch the moment!
Max still likes to hold my mobile phone, which isn't a problem as I lock the keys and he still doesn't put anything in his mouth.

"Oh where did you get that hat? Where did you get that hat?"

Holding one of Grandad's cucumbers

Ninja and Damson were a bit freaked out when Max started crawling but they've warmed to the idea now and are only a little hesitant when he crawls toward them.
Cute!

Peej and Mel invited us over for a picnic in their communal garden a few weeks ago and it was a scorcher of a day. Peej took Max to have a look at the trees...

... and Mel played with him on her lap. Mel also walked with Max in the Mei-Tai and found it very comfortable. (He slept when she carried him too!)

Playing more games :)

With one of my beautiful red sunflowers (Thanks M!)

The pouty face is a popular one as he knows it gets a laugh!

He does a very sweet gentle smile which I love :)

He LOVES standing up and will look around for anything of suitable height to pull himself up on.

At the park with Sally (Jack was over at the railings watching the big children and grown-ups play FOOTBALL!

This was taken at M's sailing club near Sonning. One of her sailing buddies had a boat they were getting ready to go on the water and Max was allowed to sit in it and play captain, should have got him a pirate hat... Yarrr! It was a bit bright to look at the camera but he was smiling a lot and having a wonderful time.

Playing patacake with Aunty M

Cuddle! Aww!

Cuddles with Grandad at Jack & Katie's birthday party. Drunkle Vas bought him the gorgeous checked shirt.
