Playtime with Jack & Hannah, visits to the park and trip to Sara's

Our delicious baby boy is now 7 months old and we have had a busy couple of weeks with [ and without :( ] Daddy.

I have found that Max is more willing to try crawling if he's put within reach of a toy. Like his cousin Jack, balls are a favourite.

Our son is a secret spy!

I love this with the hand on the chin - so old fashioned

This was taken in Sally's garden while I babysat Jack and Hannah with Max. Here Jack decided he wanted to play with the rolly balls toy Max was playing with, but he gave it back very sweetly right after this shot. :) Good boy.

Jack brought out this tip-truck especially for Max - sweeeet!

"Aaah! Save me from the Jack Jack Monster Mummy!"

I'm giving Max fingers foods now he's 7 months and have had most success with the soft rusks and apple flavoured rice cakes, he wasn't convinced by the toast this morning. He will copy pretty well if you mime chewing and say "chew chew" or "num num". Clever!

At the park near Sally's. See video!

This is the legendary and ancient cat Ernie! He is 18 years old! I was so pleased to see him still here at Sara and Marcus' this weekend.

This is Arnie who is one of their new cats, the other is called Mimi (!) but he was a 'fraidy cat...

Uncle Steve tickling Max with his mass of 70s rock star curls!

Jack loved the cats and sat still and quiet for a while to stroke Ernie who loved the gentle petting.

This is one of my favourite photos EVER! Steve and Max just before a really sweet kiss! Max will stay still with mouth slightly open now for kisses. Cute cute cute!

This is Max playing with Daddy's practise nunchuks (don't worry, they're foam padded and he was supervised so couldn't hurt himself!)

17.5 lbs & keeping busy while Daddy away

I took Maximus to get weighed last week and he is now 17.5 lbs and is growing steadily and healthily. The health visitor was very impressed that he was sitting so confidently on his own and said he was the picture of a healthy, happy baby. :)

Enjoying a blissful nap after listening to Kate Rusby, our trusted go-to-sleep singer

While Callum was away for E3 the other week, Max and I kept ourselves busy with lots of family visits including...
...a trip to Grannie and Grandad's for lunch (here having a cuddle with Noo Noo)
...a teatime visit to Aunty M and of course lots of time with Sally and Jack. On this day Max was having a bit of a nasty time with his teething (still none through yet) but turns out a snuggle with Grannie is pretty good medicine.
We also looked after the Robins girls while Smart and Cara went to the theatre and we had a lovely time with them chatting, helping with homework and getting ready for bed.

A lovely profile while watching Bob The Builder on TV

Just to prove he can work the music handle on his Chicco Walker

"This blue star is for chewing right?"

This fantastic stripey Grobag is one of my favourite hand-me-downs from Jack. I love it.

Relaxing during nappy-free time after his bath

We are trying REALLY hard to crawl now! See video below!
