Anyway, here we go - it's a biggun!
Max is 1 year old! Still amazed at how fast time has flown; no matter how many people tell you, the first year goes by in a flash!
Not too much of an action shot here as all of those didn't show his face, but Max really loves music so this early birthday present from Aunty M is fabulous. He plays all the different parts of the music centre which has chimes and rattles etc... and a xylophone one side and a drum on the other.

He loves it so much he decided to give it a kiss!

On the run!

We call this the 'Murtagh'... (For Callum)

"Look at my lovely teeth!" He has 8 now and more cutting through (poor thing).

"Too bright Mummy!"

This is the face pulled by roaring! "Aaaaah! Scary monster!" is the correct reply to this.

Max celebrated his 1st birthday with the lovely Lucy, who turned 11(!!!) the same month.

He was mostly frowning for the party, but more for the reaction it got that any other reason. He was happy enough because Jack was there!
Aunty Cara got some of the day's biggest smiles.

Max wasn't interested in the cake until the time came to eat it, fortunately Lucy had enough puff for the both of them.

"Whoever put me in this laundry basket as a birthday gift - I do not approve."

Max loves to help with the hoovering.

"Get that camera out of my face, woman!"

Having a nice chat with Nanna.

Aww, our gorgeous nephew, Dastan, is very affectionate with everyone and especially loves Max which is very lovely as Max loves him too.

They have LOTS of fun running around together.

This is a very Mummy expression.

This little sequence was taken at a rather momentous occassion - Max feeding himself!! Until this point, Max had only fed himself biscuit fingers and the occassional chunk of cheese, but he now feeds himself most finger foods and even has a go at scooping with a spoon which is great!

During the meal, Max played peekaboo with Daddy using the curtain.

Cuddle with Grandad :)

Cuddle with Grandad :)

Max is in complete awe of Jack and sticks to him like glue whenever we see him. Jack finds it a little frustrating and we are trying to encourage him to be patient and Max to give him a little space. When they are playing nicely together it's one of the most blissful things to watch - the favourite games (in Max's opinion) are peekaboo chase and scary monster.
